Safety Sofia is a Nationally Certified Jane Jitsu Core Instructor, a Licensee with PlayItSafe Defense Strategies for Women and Children and is a partner with Damsel in Defense, a company dedicated to equipping, empowering and educating women with self-defense tools. Sofia has a passion for safety and believes no individual should ever feel vulnerable.

PlayitSafe has taught hundreds of thousands of people to “Go Chihuahua Crazy!”™ and have seen first-hand how our unique teaching philosophy changes lives. Even a small child knows it’s not the size of the dog in the fight, it’s the size of the fight in the dog.

For our young ladies and women, we use the Jane Jitsu method to maximize their strengths and negate the strengths of the attacker. We emphasize leverage, movement, and attitude, not size and strength. These techniques give you the upper hand in a fight, no matter the size of your attacker.

The combination of PlayitSafe and the Jane Jitsu method gives our students the flexibility to become highly adaptive to their surroundings and  capable of overcoming a plethora of adverse circumstances and personal attacks.

While no system can reduce the risk of attack to zero, practicing our techniques will greatly reduce your chances for attack by making you a hard target.
